Finance Director obtains injunction
Mr C was Finance Director of a major Institution. He took objection to unusual and imprudent expenditure. The Chief Executive however had him suspended and he was prevented from speaking about the case. Media speculation was rife and it appeared that Mr C was "under suspicion". Questions were asked in Parliament.
Mr C consulted Levi Solicitors. We immediately began a PR campaign. We also issued a Writ and applied for an Injunction. Press reports quoted us as saying Mr C was "Ready, willing, able and available" to meet with all of the Executive and explain all of his concerns. On the first day at Court, after obtaining his Injunction, the Institution backed down. Mr C won his case. He recovered damages, costs and a full apology. The Chief Executive had to leave shortly afterwards! |
