Nia is a solicitor within the firm’s Professional Indemnity department and works within the coverage and pre-action team. Nia has experience of advising on coverage issues and policy matters generally and in particular professional negligence claims against solicitors. She also has a wealth of experience of working within a Criminal Defence practice and VHCC fraud team.

Nia has worked as a volunteer mentor with the Youth Offending Service.

Notable cases that Nia can disclose include:

• SFO v Raven - engaged in the defence of one of five men charged with a £250m “Ponzi” investment fund fraud involving over 130 companies spread over 66 countries: there were more than one million papers in the case. Eventually having taken numerous points re disclosure, the prosecution offered no evidence against Raven and he was acquitted of all charges.
• R v Davies - Successful defence of a South Wales business man who was charged with importation of 30 million pounds worth of cocaine.
